That's scary!
I saw a couple of fighting pitbulls go after a couple that owned them on one of those shows on Animal Planet....needless to say it was not a pretty site and I was so happy I was far away from that mess and watching from television land.

I can't imagine being caught up in something like that. MY husband has always told me when we are out on our walks with our little girls, if a pitbulls comes running our way or another dog to attack the girls, he will take care of it.

Perhaps they are aquired for intimadation for the most part.
To me, the ultimate dog would be if I could put my Shepherd's
brain inside a young pit bull. Pit bulls have short hair so
I could take her with me in the car without getting hair
all over the place. They are generally the smallest dog
you could effectively use for a gaurd dog. Low
maintainance, cheap to buy.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Those of you
with a bias against Pit Bulls or Mexican imagrants owe
it to yourselfs to watch the Dog Wisperer. Caesar and
his pit bull "Daddy" are really fun to watch. If you can
watch a season (Walmart sells the DVDs by the season)
and not like those 2 characters I pity you.

Mexican immigrants? Where the heck did that come from? As far as "bias" against pit bulls, I am not biased at all. Bias is pre-judging. I am not doing that. I am judging them based on their track record. They kill more people than any other breed. Period.

Prejudice: unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes, esp. of a hostile nature, regarding a racial, religious, or national group.
Pit Bulls dont have a history of 'Unreasonable' feelings against them. Just a track record!

Before Pit bulls became popular there were plenty of other
breeds with a bad track record. Rottis, Dobies and shepherds
have all suffered at the hands of idiot owners. The only
large dog I have been attacked by was a German Shepherd
when I was 12. Yes the owner said she never did that before.
I you want to think all pit bulls are bad thats your problem.
I have tried to shed a little light into the darkness but
you have shut me out.

It is easy to judge somthing based on the news or just
what you see. Just like the Truck drivers you read about
on the news and the urine bottles all over our highways
make it clear we don't have a very good track record either.

So you think a pitbull is a good choice for serivce oriented work?
The STATS I provided are from a COMPANY that is in the business of testing dogs' aggression and aptitude. They arent affiliated with any "animal rights organization" Sucks to be them if they "get it wrong"

The Other stats I posted are from a "DOg Bite Legal Expert" which meant he makes money testifying in court, usually to the highest bidder. (Stat #####, if you will)
If the Service Organization tested the dog and the dog passed their standards, THEY obviously think the dog to be a good choice for "service work" and think of their responsibility and liability if THEY were wrong....
I am sure they take their responsibility seriously. No doubt their Insurance Carrier does too...

How many times does this story have to play out?
It would be fair to remove the words "pit bull" from your sentence and insert the generic term DOG and it would make just as much sense.

According to Statistics; about 20 people die each year from dog bites (ALL BREEDS).
About 500,000 die from smoking, 240,000 die in auto accidents and 128,000 die from gun shots.
The US Population is over 300 million! 20 people out of 300 million means you have 1 chance in 15,000,000 of being killed by a dog; 1/600 of dieing from smoking; 1/1250 of being killed in an auto accident; 1/2344 of dieing from a gunshot wound.
Perhaps it would save more lives if we banned cigaretts, automobiles and guns?

Oh wait, the Fear-Mongering Party...ooops, I mean the DEMOCRATIC Party is already trying that.
I think I'll take my chances with a dog, everyday

<P.S. I DRIVE, SMOKE and OWN GUNS!>

ADA or not...I am sick of it

The other day I was shopping in my local grocery store and saw a lady with dog in one arm and picking donuts with the other from an open donut case.
I went postal, I am sick of these dog lovers forcing their pets on us as if they are children.
Needless to say, the police were called to the store and the lady was asked to leave.
Just because you love your dogs, does not mean the world has to.
The management told the lady not to return.....and she had no clue as to why
Don't love dogs, dont love jesus and tired of Mexicans too
