And one of those tow yard owners is one of the best pit bull breeders I have ever met, and will NOT tolerate any of his dogs being aggressive towards a human!
Hundreds of years of "Selective Breeding" in the "Bully" breeds done by the Brits (killing ALL pups that show the slightest inclination of human aggression) is being un-done by thugs and punks who use their pit-bulls as "protection" and as a "status" symbol. Even reputable "fighters" (IF there were such a thing) kill the pups that show aggression toward their human handlers.
The "Stafford-shire" Terrier was known for their genteelness and were originally used as a "baby-sitter" for the British elite; who nick-named them "nanny" dogs.

Interesting thread... my wife and I are currently helping the Missouri Humane Society out with over 300 pit bulls rescued from the nations largest fighting bust in history. I am also a trainer for what it is worth and none of the puppies that I have been involved with testing and socialization haven't shown any forms of human aggression and it seem 50% of the litters have one that shows resource guarding or some form of animal aggression. But this can be said for almost all litters of any breed.

This breed has gotten a very bad rap! And it is not the breeds fault rather than the human handlers!! What these POS did and the number of abused and mistreated dogs is heart breaking to say the least.

Henry breeds and raises some of the very best "pit bulls" I have ever had the honor of knowing. The first one he ever had on the yard was sweet, gentle and loving enough that my infant son had a built in babysitter. We could not get that dog away from the child if he was in the tow office with me. The dog would sleep curled up around William's playpen. He would not let anyone take that baby out of his sight, other than me.

He also had Jade on the yard... Jade was a darling. The only issue we had with her was that I could go on the yard, do anything I wanted, but I was not allowed to leave unless one of the guys was there to tell me "Goodbye"... otherwise, she would herd me back to the porch... and damned if I am going to argue with something her size.

The ones he has there now are PESTS. Nothing more, nothing less. They are nosy, pestersome spoiled rotten THINGS, that don't appear to have an aggressive bone in their oversize bodies. Seriously, not even intersted in the squirrels, cats, chickens or other dogs that may wander across the property. They are excellant watchdogs. They lay there and WATCH! LMAO!
