Forbidden Exclamation RollingRescue dog Hired by Purina

Some of you have read the Thread "Gonna Be a SuperStar Someday"; [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. ) about Austin (Scooby-Doodle) who was adopted by Paws for Effect; A California Company that supplies animals and insects for TV, Movies, Commercials and magazines.

Two weeks after Austin was adopted, we sent another "Labradoodle" (Harlan) to Debbie. In fact, I took Harlan with me in the truck as far as Sacramento and was met by another driver who delivered Harlan to Los Angeles.

As it happens, Harlan has been selected by Purina for magazine advertizing and might even be featured on the Purina "Beneful" product line packaging.

Great news for a unwanted dog that was left at a shelter, doomed for euthanasia.

Great idea and thank you for the thought, however: ROLLINGRESCUE is nothing more than a loosely organized group of volunteers, is not a "Legal" organization (501.3c) and we cannot legally accept donations.

But there are ways you can help.
You can volunteer with your local rescue as a temporary "foster parent", donate cash and/or supplies to your local LEGETIMATE rescue (listed as a 501.3c). Or you can donate cash/supplies to MY favorite Rescue; ARNO: Animal Rescue New Orleans (animalrescueneworleans.org) that is helping the estimated thousands of pets still stranded and alone since Hurricane Katrina. Some of these pets are entering their third or fourth generation since Katrina and are in DIRE need of food/supplies and medical care.

Or you can volunteer as a Transport Driver, supplying only your gas and time to help in short transports (30 to 60 miles for "civilian drivers"; longer for truckdrivers) by "signing-up" at the CONTACT page at rollingrescue.info

Thanks for the information on the ARNO and Transport. I will get on that. My girlfriend and I did a two man rescue operation when I lived in Arkansas. We would locate abused animals, including horses and get the approval to remove them get them healthy and adopt them out.
