Catprint Red Shelter from the Cold

I read about an incident like this every winter; "Dog tied to tree, no shelter from the cold, and a block of ice for water."

It doesn't take much to see that they are WARM and happy!

Lots of city folk think its inhuman to keep dogs out side
But if they have their winter coats, open water, food and a place to curl up out of the elements they are happy.

My dog on the other hand shivers in 60 degree's LOL

I know what you mean! lol

Even my German Shepherds were inside dogs.

My Jack Russells don't much care for the winter or the snow. Abby's feet freeze real bad so she has to wear a coat and boots for when she goes outside.
Aggie on the other hand who seems to be more tough just requires the coat...lol

I have 2 dogs inside. But Shyanne prefers the great outdoors. The ONLY times we can get her to come inside are when it is RAINING, or when we absolutely INSIST on it!

Shyanne HATES water! We once had her in the laundry room because it had been POURING for several days.. Well, about 6 am she decided she HAD to pee. So she starts making this hideous noise.. My hubby gets up, opens the back door, and then opens the laundry room door. It is still just POURING outside, and the water outside the door was deep enough to make the back deck float! Shyanne runs out to the door... looks out at all the water, sniffs at it, turns around hangs her butt end out the door, and pees! Didn't even get a paw wet, but did NOT pee in the house! Then proceeds to run back to the laundry room! My poor hubby about DIED laughing!

But water is about the only reason she will willingly stay inside for more than a few moments!

That's hilarious!!

I had a sheltie who never wanted to come indoors. He'd sleep on the snow. Some nights in the summer we'd get up and ooops, never did let him in. He was happy as a clam!!! Never left him outside all night when it was cold, though.

And wet?!?!! He wouldn't realize he was wet until the undercoat got wet and by then he was SOAKED!! Ugh!!! Silly dog!!!
