May land PETA in court

‘Got Pus?’ merchandise may land PETA in court

12/12/07
Quote:
WASHINGTON - Got a problem with milk? Better not rip off the industry's well-known marketing slogan to express it.
Milk processors are demanding that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals end a publicity campaign that asks "Got pus? Milk does."
PETA, which advocates a dairy-free diet, has plastered the slogan on T-shirts, mugs and other merchandise to draw attention to what it says are dangerous levels of somatic cells — pus — in much of the milk sold in this country. The pus gets there because of an udder infection called mastitis that can infect cows raised for their milk, PETA says.

This just PROVES how UN-EDUCATED PETA really is! Having been raised around the dairy industry, I know that any cow that is found to have mastitis is immediately removed from the production herd and treated with anti-biotics! And they are NOT allowed to be returned to the production herd until a vet clears it! Mastitis is is easily detected and easily treated.

What are these fools trying to do, make everyone ill? And tell me this... Do these people realize that some cows naturally over produce.. what's worse, milk the cow, or not milk her and let her walk around with overfull udders? Do they realize how PAINFUL overfull udderscan be?
