| URGENT HELP NEEDED in Michigan by Michigan Residents URGENT HELP NEEDED in Michigan by Michigan Residents. There is a 'shelter' (I use that term loosely) in West Michigan that sells friendly "unclaimed" dogs to "Class B" Brokers, who in turn sell the dogs to Medical Research Facilities. These dogs are subjected to unknown misery, then euthanized and given a necropsy to study the effects of drugs and/or cosmetics. This 'shelter' DOES NOT release dogs to rescue, so we have been using "Ghost Adopters" for sometime. We "reserve" dogs using the names and contact information from several volunteers in the area in order to spirit these deserving pets into "rescue". Sometimes we have to rescue several dogs per week. But we can't continue using the same names for much longer. We NEED people in Michigan that would be willing to act as "Ghost Adopters". You DON'T actually need to adopt a dog, but names and contact info IS needed. IF ANYONE in Michigan would like to help out by being a "GHOST ADOPTER", please go HERE: ([LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. ) and supply your name and email address with a note that you would like to be a "GHOST ADOPTER". You will shortly get an email with instructions for helping. Sorry, because the Director of this shelter is VERY "ANTI-RESCUE" I can't give any more information than it is in Michigan. If it were known what was happening, we would never get another dog out of there. That is why it is important to keep this information secret. As a matter of fact; I DON'T even know where the shelter is, but I have been a Ghost Adopter for a couple years now. Personally, I have nothing against Medical Research using animals....IF they raised their own. But they get animals from these "Brokers" who have been known to steal dogs from people's yards, and scan news papers for "Free To A Good Home" ads.
