Animal research has played a vital role in virtually every major medical advance of the last century and now YOU can be a part of that proud tradition and make money at the same time!
Rather than uselessly squander those invaluable lives which can make a profound difference in our current lifestyle, call me and let's turn those unwanted beasts into survival opportunities for sick children and dollars in your wallet.
By disproving the lethality and/or side effects of chemicals used in modern medicine, these beautiful innocent souls can make the ultimate sacrifice in our and our children's behalf. These former pets are afforded all the respect and compassion as is humanly possible.
There are many reasons one may wish to no longer be a pet owner.
-Say you're moving
and can't take tabby with you.
-Say your expensive hound
just had a litter of mutts.
-Say your pooch isn't friendly,
won't potty train, destroys your possessions, etc., etc., etc.
You can enjoy their wonderful puppy / kitten stage and then reap a cash reward for having grown such a fine specimen. Start over with a new kitten every six months! Win,Win, and Win!
The sad truth is that once Fido or FiFi outgrow their cute age,
many pet owners simply no longer feel the love.
I Buy Strays would be thrilled to take that burden off your hands and pay you at the same time. Tomorrow, an enriched and healthier society will be your ongoing reward. And, don't worry, your animal will receive several weeks of humane treatment during decontamination where we guarantee it will enjoy clean food, water, and a safe cage in a sterile environment.
Take the quick and easy way out that PAYS!
You'd be Surprised who all purchases these beautiful species. A very wide variety of companies and individuals require a large number of animals. All share the common goal of testing and learning to make perfect. However, we are strongly against the unethical fur industry and refuse all business from that sector. As you might expect, Many become dissection subjects who further the education of Medical and science students. But also, veterinarian schools use a lot of live 'practice' dogs and cats before trying their hands on the patron's beloved pets.
Some of our various clients include major universities, medical research, pharmaceutical companies, cosmetic companies, defense-research establishments, ammunition proving grounds, and numerous commercial facilities that provide animal-testing services to industry.
Is this for REAL? It is unknown IF this is a legitimate web site or just a spoof put on by perhaps PETA to highlight what happens to "your" pet when you take them to the "Animal Shelter".

Origins: Very little (short of outright killing or cruelty to animals) could raise the dander of pet owners like someone's offering to buy up unwanted cats and dogs and re-sell them to companies for the
purposes of animal testing and medical experimentation. That's the premise behind the site IBuyStrays.com, which purportedly engages in the business of taking the "burden off the hands" of pet owners by purchasing their unwanted cats and dogs.
Everything about the IBuyStrays web site screams "hoax," however. The site contains no business information about the company (e.g., where it's located, how long it's been in business, who runs it), no contact information (e.g., physical address, mailing address, phone number) other than a single e-mail address from a free service (Gmail), and no explanatory information about the buying and selling process (e.g., what parts of the country the "service" is available in, how the animals pickup process works, how and when payments are made). Sending e-mail to the address provided merely triggers an auto-response (one similarly devoid of any useful information) stating that "due to the large number of responses we receive, we are unable to respond to them all" — a simple dodge to explain why no offers to sell pets are ever actually taken up.
As well, the language used on the site is deliberately aimed at inflaming pet owners and animal lovers, suggesting that people sell their no longer quite-so-cute kittens and puppies so that they can "start over with a new [one] every six months!" and claiming that the purchased pets "become disection [sic] subjects" and are sold to veterinary schools for students to use as "live 'practice' dogs and cats before trying their hands on the patron's beloved pets" (in addition to maintaining that other prospective purchasers include "medical research, pharmaceutical companies, cosmetic companies, defense-research establishments, and ammunition proving grounds").
The domain name is also registered anonymously, and the site itself is rife with spelling and typographical errors, neither of which lends credence to the notion that the site represents a genuine national business.
In short, the primary purpose of IBuyStrays.com is pretty obviously not to buy animals, but to pull some legs and yank some chains.

I hope it's a hoax. The only people who'd want to participate are jerks who'd steal other's pets to sell to them!! No pet owner would EVER give them their pet for any amount of money!!! I had to give up a cat once and had it put to sleep. No way I was letting anything happen to him. I still miss him

But MANY people take their pets to "Animal Shelters". MANY Animal Shelters give the "friendly" animals to "Class-B Brokers" who sell them for research.

Not around here they don't. They euthanize them if they can't rehome them - not great but better than other things they could do with them. And they euthanized a LOT of pets until very recently when they started doing the foster home thing.
