She is massively FAT! LOL!! She has a food obsession (obviously)....I feed her the exact same amount every day, have for years, and she still will do just about anything for another bite. She's so fat she cannot jump up on the couch anymore, and her hips are bothering her really bad. Although I can't say too much...if I could drop a few pounds off of MY hips then my back probably wouldn't be such a bother to me either.

When I go to Petsmart, I always have them take whatever they have out of the cages so I can check them out. LOL!! Yesterday, they had a HUGE male there (prob already told you this)...if I didn't have females, that sweetheart would have come home with me for sure!
I have had 2 hamsters... didn't like either of them! I would have gotten the male and got a cage for him... I just love the rats...

Those males get BIG, that's for sure!! And they get "wooley" fur. We end up calling them wool rats.

Do you give your rats baths? I tried to once, they did NOT like it. But they NEED one once in a while...especially when you have one that has chronic resp problems like one of ours does...the other girl usually has the red spray all over her. If you do....tell me your secrets.

We have yet to find a rat that likes a bath. We wash them with wash clothes or baby wipes..

I tried the wash cloth...that red mucous stuff is really hard to get off. I bet it would come off though with some mild puppy shampoo though!
