Catprint Red Pet Insurance???

Has anyone ever used or had the health insurance that is being offered all over the place for your pets?

IF so have you found the benefits out weigh the premiums? OR is it about like human health insurance, you pay the premium and then end up paying a lot of out of pocket expenses?

Just wondering.

I have seen it # pet smart (I do believe) the one that has the vet inside it.
I did not purchase it.
I do know my car insurance gives me $500.00 if my dog is killed in an automobile accident. I was very suprised and that's no extra charge per month

We looked into this years ago. The cost of the insurance was so-so. They were restrictive on the age of the animal to be insured. They also were restrictive on the coverage such as well ness care.

It appeared to us that the insurance would be limiting the type of care and the extent of care.

We chose to be self insured with the four legged kids.

I have medical as well as dental insurance on both of my Bostons. It is at the Pet Smart and they are called Banfield. If you want just medical it is about $19 per month and the Dental is an extra $8. So I pay a total of $27 per month to make sure that my dogs are always taken care off to the utmost So they are not only extremely spoiled but extremely healthy as well. The cost of the plan is about half what you would pay out per year if you properly took care of your babies. My dogs are my children and with the short amount of time that God allows us to care for them. I am going to make sure that I make him proud for giving me the privilege. And they are worth every penny!
