Dog found- might belong to a trucker

Hello everyone, I googled to find a busy trucking forum that I could join so I can post the following.

Somewhere between 1 1/2 and 2 weeks ago a female chihuahua was found huddling in the bushes along a stretch of highway that has little more than gas stations and truck stops. 99% of the traffic is travellers and trucks.

This was Hwy 82 in Montague county, north Texas.

The lady who found the dog posted signs every where and checked the lost and found ads and nobody claimed or listed the dog. She couldn't keep the dog so I got it. Now I'm hoping to find the owner. This dog is obviously well cared for and well loved. She is a spoiled rotten sweetheart.

I know you truckers all communicate with each other all the time. Has anyone heard anything about a lost chihuahua in the last couple of weeks?

For obvious reasons, I won't give a full description of the dog, but she does have some distinguishing features.

I've got my user options at this forum set to receive email notifications of thread replies and pm's, so I will keep an eye on my inbox to see if anyone knows anything.

If no owner comes forth, she will have a very good home for life.

I sure hope someone comes forward, or somehow word of mouth gets the info to the right person. I cannot imagine anyone being too happy about losing a precious little dog like that!

Glad she has a wonderful home in case you don't find the owner. Hopefully, though, the owner will turn up and they will be reunited. Kudos to you for giving her a home and continuing to try to find her owner
