STANTON - Laurel Barrick has dealings with several West Michigan animal shelters through her work with Rolling Rescue, a local animal rescue group. [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

Barrick helps organize transportation for several local groups that adopt dogs from area shelters before the animals are euthanized. Of all the area's shelters, she said the Montcalm County Animal Shelter in Stanton is by far the most difficult to work with.

"You have a shelter in Montcalm County that really has no interest in what happens to dogs," Barrick said. "On a number of levels something is wrong. The people are being shortchanged. All these people (at the shelter) care about is getting dogs out of there as quick as possible."

While the Montcalm shelter posts pictures on the county's Web site and a photo is published in The Daily News weekly, Barrick said the efforts fall far short of nearly all other counties.

Resistance Is Futile

As the Statist is building a culture of conformity and dependency, where the ideal citizen takes on drone-like qualities in service to the state, the individual must be drained of uniqueness and self-worth and deterred from independent thought or behavior. This is acheived through varying methods of economic punishment and political suppression.
