A week ago my better half was bobtailing along a rural country road in Alabama. She happened to notice a yard that seemed to be full of little dogs and puppies. Since she was just killing time waiting for her trailer to be unloaded she decided to stop to take a look. Very dangerous thing to do, looking at puppies. As if many can look at puppies and get away without one tucked under your arm. The owner came out and explained that he had so many dogs he just did not know what to do and that he was going to have to take them to the humane society if he could not get rid of some of them. To make a long story short my wife ended up trucking off down the road with this cute little ball of fluff.She named him Chico as the owner was a Hispanic guy and the puppy is part Mexican breed. She brought him home here to Canada without any papers,no passport or visa, not even a FAST card. If immigration should track him down I guess we can always claim he's a refugee and they take about 15 years to rule in those cases so we should be alright. He is the best 10 week old puppy we have ever had,so smart and cute. I guess you could say that those southern dogs really rule.

Claim he's an "Economic Refugee" from Sonora or Michoacán....works everytime or that's what Villaraigosa tells them to say

My german shepard had 8 puppies a few months ago, and it was all I could do not to keep them all. Needless to say,I ended up keeping 2 of them.

It's hard to pass up those puppy dog eyes huh?

It all started with this one, Lacy. Or as I call her... my "fluffy baby seal", because when she looks at you with her ears down, sometimes she looks just like a baby seal.

Now we've got 3 that we have to share a tiny little bed with. I swear they're like Lay's potato chips... ya can't have just one.

When I saw the post about a "yard full of puppies" in rural Alabama, I thought.... "hmmm, must have driven by our house" lol. We sure have a yard full alright, and a house full too. Except we're not Hispanic, and we really don't have any "puppies" right now.

My wife gets dogs from the local shelter, where her friend works, and tries to get them new homes before their 7 days are up. So, we always have a few new ones around. I must admit though, the Pekingese are REALLY hard to give away... hence the fact that we have three of them now.

All of ours have been spayed... because there is absolutely no way in hell you can get rid of a Peke pup—they are cute beyond belief and you just want to keep them all! So we just satisfy our puppy urges by looking at pictures on the internet.

So, yes, I understand the puppy addiction.
