Unite trucker with lost German Shepherd Arkansas animal volunteers trying to unite trucker with lost German Shepherd 5/13/08 Quote: HORSESHOE BEND, Ark. — For many truckers, the road is a lonely place, and many choose to fill the void with a dog or two. So today, as a public service, we’re trying to link up a female German Shepherd named Domino with her owner, trucker Ben Giefer. According to Susan Clay, a volunteer at the Horseshoe Bend (Ark.) Animal Control, someone found Domino and took her to the shelter, where workers identified Giefer through a tag. If you know Ben, have him call the shelter at (870) 670-4474. Or if Ben can’t be found, we hope there’s a trucker out there who’ll adopt Domino. She’s truck-trained.
