Marine abuses puppy.

I heard this on the radio last night and did not get a chance thankfully to have seen the video.

They said the marine has been expelled from the military, charges are still being investigated. The second marine that filmed it has also been dealt with.

Really shows a fine picture for our country.

(CNN) -- The military is investigating a "shocking and deplorable" YouTube video that seems to show a Marine throwing a puppy off a rocky cliff.
YouTube.com removed the video for violating the Web site's terms of use.

The black-and-white puppy makes a yelping sound as it flies through the air.
"That's mean, that was mean," one companion says off-camera, addressing the alleged puppy thrower by his last name. The fate of the animal is not known.
The Marine is identified on the video and in other Internet postings as a lance corporal stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe.
It's not clear where the video was shot, although the man who appears to throw the puppy and another Marine are in full combat gear with helmets.
YouTube.com had taken down the video by 12:30 p.m. ET Tuesday "due to terms of use violation," according to a banner on the Web site.
"This is a shocking and deplorable video that is contrary to the high standards that we set for every Marine," Marine Corps spokesman Maj. Chris Perrine said at a news conference Monday night.

"We will investigate this and take appropriate actions," Perrine said.

Disgusting. I can tell you too, it's just like driving; one idiot does something like this and the rest of the good guys get lumped into it. The guy with the camera is just as responsible.

I spent 12 years in the Marine Corps, left as a SSgt. If I had been there when that happened, I think I would have left as a Sgt becuase I would have thrown that !#$$#^#$%%^$#& off the cliff after the puppy.

There is no call for that no matter what the hell you are doing. Throwing people off a cliff, sure (unfortunately, I mean that) but abusing animals makes my blood boil.

One bad apple...you know the drill. That aside, they will have even more fun now. And won't have to use puppies either.

I would say the Supreme Court handed the Marines the best gift ever this week. By confering Constitutional Rights on terrorist and combatants.

I think there will be a major editting of the rules of engagement now. Although it will be more like the "don't ask, don't tell" rule.

Debriefing will be a joke.

"Did you see anyone while on patrol?"
"No sir"
"Can you explain the 132 rounds of missing ammo?"
"It was a snake sir, a really big snake."
"Can you explain your wounded comrade?"
"Must have been a sniper sir, we never seen/found anyone."
