I don't think so either
I realize dogs are more than just matériel possessions
But giving them assault on a officer status is crazy
What would happen if when you were pulled over the cop up and bit you???
So why is OK when in pursuit a cop dog can bite you????

I live in the country and the neighbors that aren't over friendly we don't stop by and #### chat with them so we wouldn't know what was on their place. And we sure don't go driving by to see whats in the yard. The way I see it the dog wasn't in uniform so how would the neighbor know. And furthermore a dog comes after me or my kids it would be a dead dog. Its sad when you can't even protect or own family or property. The dogs life shouldn't be able human life and I feel that is the only way they are making them deputies. The handler should be fined he was the one that wasn't doing his job on protecting that dog. Whewww I could go on and on over this I'm sure the animal wackos were all over that story. Ok I will shut up now lol
