Catprint Red Baack to the Animals (segment) Chihuahua

OK I didn't think it would happen but I have turned into one of those nutty dog people.
And my little guy named Gotti did it LOL
Growing up on a farm we had our run of animals and dogs of all sizes and breeds.
But I am now a lover of the Chihuahua breed.
I have listed my favorite website and an introduction article from the site, it goes into detail about pretty much any thing to do with Chihuahua's
The one problem I see with the breed is they do tend to be a one person dog, great for that one person
But not good for every body else
Now I got lucky and my Lil guy does not bite and is very friendly
But I have run into many who do
Its amazing how such a little dog can have so much energy
I have included what I think are hysterical pictures of dressed up dogs
For the record my dog will not dress up, but the Kiss costume does interest him LOL

With its big eyes, big ears, and bigger-than-life attitude, the Chihuahua is the epitome of cocky canine in a petite package.
In other words, this pint-sized pet is master of his universe and fears nothing, characteristics that make him a most suitable pet for some people and the worst possible choice for others. But a sudden spurt of popularity as the Taco Bell dog has brought notoriety, and demand for the tough and intelligent dogs has increased.
The Chihuahua has always been popular as a pet for elderly owners and apartment dwellers, so in an era when many breed registrations are declining, the number of Chihuahuas registered annually has increased from 29,860 in 1991 to 38,926 in 1997, an average increase of 1133 registered dogs per year and an overall increase of 30.4 percent. The number is hardly equivalent to the registrations of Labrador Retrievers, the breed with a lock on the number one slot for the past several years, but it has been enough to move the Chihuahua from 16th in popularity to 12th.

My husband makes fun of his trucker friends because he has his "daughter's" small poodle. He swears it's his daughter's but the daughter is off to college so dad gets the dog LOL One day I'm going to get a picture of my husband asleep with the dachshund, smallest one I have and email to his friend LOL!!
