Bear jumps into man’s fishing boat, mauls him

Bear jumps into man’s fishing boat, mauls him

Quote:
VICTORIA, British Columbia - A Canadian man is recovering in the hospital after a black bear swam across a river, climbed onto a dock and then jumped on a boat and attacked him.
Conservation officer Gord Hitchcock said Wednesday the 52-year-old man was fishing at a marina in a tiny coastal community off Canada's Pacific coast when the bear mauled him.

What we have here is a classic case of territorial conflict. That bear just let that fisherman know that this was HIS fishin' grounds.

Perhaps the fisherman should have worn more neutral colors.

uh...duh...uh

I'm having trouble with this one. Tragic as it is.

Did anyone see the bear swim across? If so, why did they stand around? Lunch maybe?

The words bear and docile should never be used in the same paragraph, let alone the same sentence.

maybe he forgot to play dead.....{If a bear approaches you, stay still (they can outrun humans and climb trees). If the bear attacks, lie face down on your stomach and play dead until the bear goes away. Then, leave the area}

........ was just reading this maybe pass it on to your networks.....

A dog takes it as a challenge.

A mountain lion senses it as no advantage.
