Pet owners threaten suicide Pet owners threaten suicide South Africa 10/12/08 Quote: Some Cape Town pet owners love their animals so much they have threatened to commit suicide if they are forced to give any up in terms of a proposed bylaw which seeks to restrict the number of dogs and cats per household. Others are so indifferent they feel nothing about tossing them out like pieces of rubbish. A Cape Town motorist couldn't believe her eyes last week when the car in front of her in Koeberg Road slowed slightly, a passenger door opened and a puppy came hurtling out.
