Catprint Red Dog waste/kitty litter down the toilet

No need to make a stink --put pet waste down the toilet

Vancouver Sun, Canada
Quote:
I have a problem that I have never seen addressed and that is what to do with cat litter. All cities refuse animal feces in the garbage or landfills. Every plumber I have talked to cautions strongly against putting any so-called flushable litter down the toilet.
Thanks, Judy

Judy's right. There is a bylaw in most cities that prohibits the disposal of any kind of bodily waste in the regular garbage -- human or animal. So what, exactly, are we supposed to do with all the pet poo?
Chris Underwood, director of the Solid Waste Management Branch for the City of Vancouver has a simple answer. "The right place for poo is down the toilet!"
Yep, you heard right. That lovely new dual flush beauty that you just installed alongside your fabulous marble topped vanity isn't just for doing your business. "When you collect dog waste from the yard, put it down the toilet. The sewage system is designed to handle poo and that's where it should go."

The litter may not be so flush friendly but the poo should be.

With 5 cats, I have to use the clumping cat litter. I don't think that would work too well to be flushing down the toilet!
