Observation # 1 - It's about time!
Observation # 2 - Can't they at least do this in a decent sized vehicle?

One of the reasons that I stick with my ancient Ford pickup trucks is the way the extended cab seating is designed. Admittedly, the back seat is damned uncomfortable to ride in. And a pain to get in and out of. But I don't care about that, I never ride back there, nor have any passengers back there, other than the dogs.

Entry and exit is through the right front passenger door, and an easy leap for the dogs. The seats fold into a perfectly flat platform, so that with just a rug thrown on it, it's a comfortable ride.

Since all of the manufactures went to the seat that folds up against the back, there hasn't been a decent ride (in a pickup) made for a dog. GRRRRR!
