Racehorse breeder charged with animal cruelty Racehorse breeder charged with animal cruelty 4/10/09 Quote: ALBANY, N.Y. - State police say New York thoroughbred breeder Ernie Paragallo has been charged with cruelty to animals, two days after authorities seized 177 malnourished horses at his Hudson Valley farm. A state police dispatcher says the 51-year-old Paragallo was arrested Friday and charged with 22 counts of torturing or injuring an animal and failure to provide sustenance. The dispatcher says Paragallo was to be arraigned Friday afternoon at town court in Coxsackie, 20 miles south of Albany. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/30154365/
