MARYVILLE (WATE) -- A longtime crime fighter with the Blount County Sheriff's Office lost her battle with cancer this week.
"She was my best friend," says Dasha the bloodhound's partner, Deputy Allen Russell.
"I actually got her when she was six-weeks-old. We started training when she was seven-weeks-old."
Dasha quickly proved herself an excellent tracker.
"Her basic job was just to find people, from murder suspects to lost children and everything in between," Russell says.
Dasha's most memorable find likely saved a life.
"We found a lady who had walked off who had Alzheimer's. She was entangled in a fence," Russell says.
Then last fall, Russell found a knot on Dasha's leg and she was diagnosed with lymphoma.

Resistance Is Futile

As the Statist is building a culture of conformity and dependency, where the ideal citizen takes on drone-like qualities in service to the state, the individual must be drained of uniqueness and self-worth and deterred from independent thought or behavior. This is acheived through varying methods of economic punishment and political suppression.
