Hey Leadfoot, I'm going to agree with the crate training and as many walks as possible, which would make sense for any breed. Now, realizing there are exceptions to any rule, for the breed. I have three Shar-Pei. They are extremely adaptable to their owners lifestyle, and they are especially fast to crate train. They are generally quite and dignified dogs, and are known for fastidiously grooming themselves. Oh yeah, they are also smart, clownish, and good watch dogs that possess good friend or foe instincts. Just my two cents. Good luck!!
