| Roadmedic I'm so sorry for your loss. Bonnie, you're mad at the pain of losing your beloved pet and you're mad at not being able to save her. We do that you know. Those pets are our babies and as mommy we feel we're suppose to be able to protect and save our babies. Anger is not abnormal to grief and you're in grief plus shock. Please don't beat yourself up for feeling angry. Beat up your bed pillow instead. It's okay to cry, yell, wail to the mountains at the unfairness of it.

| I think you're right Nana. Alot of it is the fact that there was NOTHING we could do. And it is just so SHOCKING. Except for her flea problem, which was because of her LOVE of "dust baths" (that made the vet laught at her!) she seemed to be perfectly healthy. For crying out loud, she got up and did everything she normally did this morning! Roadmedic, I am so sorry about your baby. My Thomas was 17. When they get that old, you kind of know you are gonna lose them, but when they are that age, you get SO ATTACHED! It's like losing a chunk of your heart.... Now I wanna know who is gonna snore in my face and steal my pillow every night?

| Her name was actually Bobbin. But she followed me and Melva SO MUCH, that if we said "Where's my little shadow?" she'd come running, with her WHOLE BODY wagging!

| I'm sorry, Bonnie. It hurts like hell, doesn't it? I went to Canada this past Friday for four days and came home yesterday to learn that my husband and kids had to put down one of our guinea pigs. She had a mild stroke before I left and a major stroke the following day -- leaving her alive, but blind and partially paralyzed. She was seven years old this month. We used to rescue piggies and have been down this road many times... but it just seems to get harder and harder as we get older. My heart hurts for you tonight. It'll be a lonely one for you without your little buddy. They do entwine themselves in our hearts. <sigh> Hugs, my friend...

| Yeah, it hurts like Hell, and that is an understatement. I'm sitting in my room, knowing she is supposed to be here, and she isn't and it is lonely. Really lonely. We buried her in one of her favorite places, under the plum tree. I just cannot believe this day. I keep hoping I will wake up and it was all just a hideous nightmare. PLEASE???

| Thank you so much for the hugs! I appreciate them. My daughter's pup, who has been with Bobbin all of her life, keeps looking for her and whining. She keeps going in my room and rooting around through Bobbin's basket and blankets and under the bed, and taking everything off the rocker, just hunting and whining.. My son's cat is out laying on the spot where we buried her, purring and alert, like she is standing guard... She did the same thing when we had to have Thomas put to sleep. Somehow, I think she understands. I don't even want to go in my own bedroom right now.
