Any drivers with parrots?

I am thinking of getting a Conure and was wondering if any drivers drive around with a bird in the sleeper? If so tell me if the trucking lifestyle is hard on a bird. Thanks any advice would be great.

I don't personally know any drivers with pet birds, however, I have seen a driver with two birds in the truck. The driver used pvc pipe to make perches in the cab of his truck. They were sitting on the perches attached to the passenger side of the dash.
Can't quite remember what kind they were.

I met a driver maybe 5 years ago who had a parrot. The man had #### all over his clothes Because allowed the bird to roam freely around the truck... He didn't seem to care. His appearance was disrespectful... imaging walking into a shipper or consignee with feces all over your clothes... Well.... I guess the only difference in that the other drivers have the feces in their clothes....

HAHA, that is funny. Some people are slobs to begin with. Having animal fecal matter on your clothes is only part of the problem.

house trained

Keep in mind birds of any kind cannot be house trained. Two vets have told me the exact same thing; when a bird needs to go they just go! There's no aparatus of any kind that permits them to "hold it" so unless you were to keep the feathery friend in a cage or on a perch you are going to have to live with the feces all over the cab...YYAAAUUUUUCK!!
