| I have one more thing to add to all this. My boyfriend asked me to add this. Here in rural Missouri, everyone's idea of having a pet means putting the dog into the 8x8 kennel or on a run. Poor dog never gets off the leash, or out of the kennel. But that is humane? Secondly, there are those people who put their pets into crates while they are gone at work. That is a box, often not even big enough for the dog to stand up in. That is humane? Those of us out here with pets, at least most of us, make sacrifices for our babies. Less pay, less sleep, and sometimes the snide remarks by those that just don't get it. But it is worth it. I am never alone, no matter how bad my day, Rufus gets it. He is my bud, my friend and loves me no matter what I look like in the morning. My dog lives with me, in our "kennel" and he is happy. I invite you to meet us and dispute this to my face and his.

| Follow up on pets in a truck now i posted a thread concearing pets in a truck and i guess i stired up quite a storm, that was not my intent . some seem to be insulted by what i had to say. now what i said was my opinion, and im intiteled to it just as you are intiteled to yours and those opiions are because i pay the biils on my. trucks now i as a matter of fact like pets, except a damn snake i draw the line there but i think anyone has the right to carry a pet even though i dont think its fair to the pet or to the owner of the truck but be that as it may each person does his or her s own thing. now some of you got a little mouthy and on that i just consider the source, lack of expeirence is shinning thrue.most of what i think are bad post came from women, well ive learned a long time ago you cant win an argument from a women ive been married 6 times i give up trying a long time ago its about like feeding hay to a dead horse it simply wont work and i no longer pay any attention to much they have to say and to those of you that dont understand or want to argue dont bother i dont even read it anymore , i didnt join this forum to argue and im not gonna start now . now in all fairness to those women that are profesinal drivers my hats off to you i dont care if you have a pet in the truck or not your choice. i have my opinion just as im sure you have yours. and to the lady that wanted to meet me some where and discuss it now if i was so weak as to do that just what do you think you would do, absoloutly nothing just like any other rambo, makes a lot of snse to me . its amazing to me how easy it is to argue and insult with one another over an opinion or what one another has to say, i dont have a problem with any one that has a different opinon then me you can believe me there are more then a few and if i tried to pick a fight with each and every one id never get anything done and you dont make a lot of money acting like a two year old . as for the tobaco thumpers well again i consider the source expeirence is shinning thrue , tobaco was here before you were and will be long after your gone which is usally about a year so why bother tying to create hate and discontent , i think we already have enough problems. now what ever i post is not to offend anyone i dont due driver bashing its simply my opinion and it is mine just as you have yours and like me your entiteled to it i might not agree with it but your still intiteled to it . funny thing is do you think your dog would take that attitude i think not that says a lot when a dog has a better attitude then its owner. what i say is meant to be contructive and to help those i can not to make an enemy of any one , all of you have an opinion and you express them as you should but to get mad over an opinion is quite frankly a little stupid and serves no purpose and the anger usally comes from those that came from a truck driving school not enough expeirence to no the difference, but i guess that today is a part of the business. i wish you all well, happy trailes.---southernpride |

| The comments I made were directed not at you, southernpride, but at another who made very offensive comments. As for not winning an argument with a woman...you said you've been married six times? I guess you really DON'T win any arguments!! LOL (I'm just pokin' in fun, no offense intended!) Now, having our pets on the truck with us, IS more humane than "crating" them...or even worse, giving them away BECAUSE we are on the truck... These pets are our "children", also our companions, and our protection, and our alarm system, should anyone try to bother our trucks while we are sleeping. They love us unconditionally, and in return, we love them, nurture them, spend countless hours playing, exercising, and cuddling with them. Our first action in the morning is to take them for their "morning constitutional", BEFORE we take ours. The LAST thing we do before going to bed, the same. Being on the truck with us, they never lack for companionship, they are RARELY left alone, (and when they are, an hour at most while we shower), and if that isn't"humane" and loving, and responsible pet-owners, well, then, to each his own, as you say. | I'm looking for a good company to work for that accepts pets. Don't care what the deposit is at this point. I had a pet and during hometime she was hit by a car and I had to put her down. I miss having a pet in the truck with me!!! Anyone know of a good pet friendly company??? |
