Thumbs up Dudley MA, requires license if you have more than 3 cats

Quote:
How much feline is too much feline in the town of Dudley, Mass.?
The answer: If you have four of the furry four-legged friends without a special license, you've gone too far.
The town made it illegal this week to own more than three cats without getting a $50 residential kennel license. Voters at a town meeting added language to a town bylaw that makes it illegal to own more than three cats without the special license.

IMO: ALL CATS should have to have a license, get the same required shots as dogs and OBEY the leash law just like dogs/owners must do. I have had more damaged done to my property by CATS than dogs to say the least!

You would love my town then.

They put a law on the books in the 90's. Cats have to wear collars and tags.

I refuse to do it with the strays that are dumped on my property.

I'm sure glad I live in the country. I couldn't handle all the BS laws towns make.

Our cats all have collars and tags so they aren't mistaken for a stray and shot.

I really cannot remember if it was a town or county law.

I just know making an older cat wear a collar was not the most exciting job.

RK I don't know where you found "Squirt" but it sure looks to me like he safe at home at the food trough with his brother and sister. lol

And then later on the couch asleep. He don't look like a runaway to me.

SQUIRT was one of my "transports" last year. His "human" moved back to Michigan from Louisiana to escape an abusive relationship. He was already "leash" trained when I picked him up.
Sad thing, his "human" allowed her abuser to move back to Michigan to live with her.
