| my idea for cleaner showers i think its a good idea to pack a small pump-spray bottle of pure bleach in the shower bag... stick it in a zip-lock to make sure its not gonna leak and spray the shower and let it soak while ya do your pre-shower stuff. then turn on the hot and let it steam for a few before ya jump in (and still wear those flip flops) i don't want anybody else's foot fungus mating with mine and growing super-powered fungus that spawns mutant villan fungus that i gotta go to the doc for! |

| I think the cleanliness of the showers entirely depends on the management of the truck stop. TA's - on the whole very bad, with some very noteable exceptions...Kenly,NC on I95 being the main one. Flying J on the whole pretty good....with the exception of Wytheville,VA. Loves are usually pretty good, especially as they have a lot of new stores. I have never showered at a Petro!! |

Also, if you're wearing flip flops and you accidentally get pure bleach on your skin, it will give you a nasty chemical burn if not immediately rinsed off. Even the diluted solution should be rinsed immediately if it comes in contact with skin. Also, bleach is highly reactive with various common "shower chemicals" and "plumbing chemicals" and could release copious amounts of ammonia or chlorine gas into your small stall, which is "Not Good"(tm). ![]() If you have good ventilation and a good diluted solution, I'd say this is optimal... but it still has the power to whiten everything it comes in contact with, requiring diligence in keeping the container sealed and away from things. A great alternative in my opinion would be something like regular lysol spray, which kills staph/e.coli/etc on contact and requires no special preparation or handling... just make sure it's still ventilated. |

| Horseshit...I've been cleaning homes for 11yrs. Spray away and save big $$ over the retail chemical cleaners. "Nasty chemical burn..." If thats the case, I'd be in ER everyday! Try this...mix 4oz. household bleach with 28oz water. The sprayers @HomeDepot are $1.98 and last a very long time. I would still wear the flipflops...bleach floors could be slippery. |

| The cleanest showers I've experienced so far were the Iowa 80 TS in Walcott, IA; Bosselman/Pilot in Grand Island, NE and a notable mention, the name escapes me but it's in Maple Hill, KS. A small ts with about 15 parking spots, no restaurant and I didn't even know they had a shower until I asked and was shocked at how nice and clean it was. They even had one of those handheld shower nozzles, which I thought was pretty cool for a ts. If you're at the 80, I recommend the steak sandwich with cheese added. Great sammich IMO! |

| I had a nice shower today at the Petro off I-75 in N Baltimore OH. Very large and clean and a full 5' bench to sit down instead of the usual postage stamp sized stool. Large sink, modern shower head and foam soap dispenser in shower. |

| The problem I have with putting bleach mixture in a spray bottle is it works once then it wrecks the rubber seal in the spray head Bleach rots rubber (breaks it down) Has anybody else had this problem

| I was there saturday. Those are nice showers and I like the design of the room with the blue tiles and it had a good showerhead and plenty of room. Even had 3 hooks to hang your towels and clothes on which is something many places forget to even put one in. That is a nice ts with plenty of parking and the waitstaff was good too. Food was great. |
