Petro2 in Salina, KS, exit 252 on I-70, probably one of the cleanest showers ive ever been in...nice too..the platinum showers have tv's in the mirrors and rainmakers in the shower...

A long time ago, I went to shower # a T/A in Gary, Ind. As I was walking to the shower, I observed the "shower monkey" (Person supposedly cleaning showers) taking the dirty towels directly from the soiled towel hamper & throwing them into the dryer. I turned around & walked out...showered down the road, AFTER stopping at Wally World & buying towels, washcloths, shampoo & soap.

Why would you not have own personnel hygiene stuff? I only use the towel supplied to stand on.

I have found that the truck stops like 75 Chrome Shop in wildwood,FL off I-75, that are really done up nice, have some really clean and nice showers and driver lounges. Me and the wife wanted to figure out a way to yank it and take it home with us, it was that nice there.

Every one of the Bosslemans tk stops are great as is Iowa 80 at Walcot,Ia
Sapp Bros. In Odess,NE and Coucil Bluffs,IA. Are with an honorable mention here .

Ther was a week and ahalf (about 3 months ago),every other day when i would stop at any of the Pilot owned tk stops, i found something wrong with every shower i was assinged to .Needless to say, i found the Manager on duty, showed him/ her the problem, not only given a differant shower room, shower credit added back onto the card.

Be it from not enough water presure coming from the shower, to no tp , to finding short hairs on the toilet.

I liked the Little America in Cheyenne WY, and the best Pilot showers I've ever been to was the Pilot in Joplin, MO.

I loved the walt whitman truck stop showers in south phili...It made me feel like a ''real trucker''

I mean you would go in there and they give ya a towel with brown stains on it and an old key to the door.

Once ya got to the door,you realized you don't need a key cause someone ripped the hinges off the old paper thin door.

Once ya made it that far you pretty lucky to fit yer fat a'z'z' in the damm shower room.

you look down and you realize your not alone.The #### roaches and water bugs are there to keep ya company.

When ya go sit on the chitter it wobbles a bit held down with one nut.

Meanwhile you could read all the beutiful grafitti pasted all over the place...

Low and behold while sitting and stinking you realize there are big holes in the wall and you can see people on the other side,but you don't pay no mind cause i am a ''real trucker''..

Last but not least you try and squeze yourself into this tiny little shower (with the roaches) and its ice cold water..(now your pissed).

You finally get out of there and you are ready to tell management about your feeling's about this #### house...

Behind the bullet proof wall of glass is (muhammad Sunnah Muakkadah) that don't speak a lick of english....now your really pissed.

By that time ya give up and lesson learned.....but it's not over.

while walking to your truck every sad nasty crack hoe and dope dealer wants something from you..Now your really ready....lmao

One of my favorite places is the Little America in Wyoming. Hubby and I always get one that has the shower AND bathtub....that way, I get to have a good, long soak, THEN shower!! Very clean showers/tubs there.

Also, like the free showers in Ohio on the turnpike...those are also VERY clean.

I have NEVER encountered a noticably dirty shower. Only once was I given a shower that wasnt just now cleaned...and they damn near gave me the key to some naked guys shower! (Jojo's truck plaza in...somewhere in Ohio) ..but seriously, whenever im waiting for a shower, i notice the attendants cleaning dirty ones out, disinfecting *everything*...

Oh my a shower is a shower. Put your shower shoes on & go take your shower already cause they are few & far between.
