Yeah,you're right about Napolean TA. It was cold out the day I stopped there. The showerhead wasn't sealed right and the whole time I was showering a stream of water sprayed up and over the shower curtain into my open shower bag that I had to hang on the door knob cause there wan't anywhere else to put it. My clean change of clothes was in that bag and they all got soaked. I was so mad. I told them about it...but I bet its still leaking.

I spend a lot of time at the Love's in Charleston, Tn as I load in Athens often and they are pretty much spotless everytime I'm there. Staff is pretty friendly as well. Of course it's only a year or so old as well. Only other option is the old ponderosa across the street, which is where I eat most of the time. Great food, nasty place

the t/a in meridian mississippi. the ac was on full blast and it felt like about 30 degrees in the showers and it stank like a porta-let. the knobs on the shower were broken so there were 2 choices, ice and boil. the floor was pained blue and colored black if you catch my drift.

Its been a few years back,but when I was driving my own truck,I fueled at the Flying Js mainly because prices were good for fuel, and with my fuel card in hand there was always a clean shower stall available.Course that was about 12 years ago,I dont know what they are like now.

Could have sworn that you were describing the Flying J that we stopped at in Peculiar MO> Same thing, exactly to the T. Even the air outdoors smelled like a sewer plant. The room was so small that hubby and I couldn't be in there together. And with the A/C running, the shower curtain just glued to your body while showering.

yeah i didnt have time to type the novel about the things that were wrong with that parking lot. but ill just mention two: it stank like a dirty diaper, and there were watermelons growing through the cracks in the pavement?

Klein's truckstop in Fresno CA.... off 99 Herndon exit
I stayed there when the stop by Denney's in Madera was packed (why dont they allow street parking????)
Ok, back to Klein's...... The whole truckstop is CREEPY and Filthy. I was concerned and did not feel safe the while time there.

Hot brown water coffee and food is ehh.

After a few days any shower is a good shower!
20 years ago . . . . . a shower was where you got one and glad you got it.
Expectations today are simply pathetic . . . . . .
