Acceptable Weekly Average Miles

What do you consider an acceptable amount of mileage on a weekly basis?

Think long range and consider your acceptable average.

DigiTrucker,

Depends on how much you make per mile...I used to make .45 cents per mile and I was happy with 2,000 miles per week (5 days)...BUT, if I worked for CR England at .20 cents per mile, I would want 3,000 - 5,000 miles per week! just MHO...

about 2500-3000 is good and easy to run. 500-600 miles a day is good and usually turns out good money.

i agree by the hour is the bomb. shipper/reciever say i gotta wait and they'll do it soon as possible. i'm like ok i'm paid by the hour. then they get it unloaded pretty quick.

I used to like to run about 3000 miles a week.( M-F) With most decent companies seems the avg driver runs solo 2500-2800 a week.

I have to agree,, on the change of plans when they find out I am paid by the hour in getting unloaded. Two weeks ago, pull in dock up, and they tell me I gotta wait till they get the Sni truck unloaded (No problem, he was here first) but I say No problem I get paid by the hour. Two guys unloading Sni, one guy stops, comes over unloads me, and then goes back to Sni. Only thing that bothered me was it was a short schedule day (only 9 hours) so the wait would have helped... But it was good.. Dang I got lucky on landing this job...
