Atlanta Circle Truck Stops
Wow, the truck stop situation around Atlanta is challenging to say the least. All full up even in the afternoon yesterday, so I ended parking on an off-street near I-85 QT. Other trucks parked similarly. Now, I'm in layover and want a better spot with access to MARTA rail system if possible, and ofcourse, access to showers. It's also hot as hell here. Any place to park near Doraville or Stone Mountain MARTA stations, for example, that are also just off the freeway. Please no complex surface route driving, I'm still a newbie with a 53' trailer and long nose Peterbilt.

The crime was solved a couple of years later when the same gun was used in another murder . The guardsman was killed as part of a gang initiation requirement . there is a petro at exit twelve on two eighty five and a pilot south of the circle on eighty five. it would be nice too know where he has to be and when and i could probably point some more out. i carry a fuel stop and truck stop book with me for this occassion.

Need to get to that one early, as it fills up fast. O and be careful of the local LL, they are alwasy around..

personally i do not park anywhere around atlanta since we have a terminal here. or i will just park at the shipper or reciever

The Petro at exit 12 also charges you $10 to park longer than 4 hours if you don't spend at least $25 in the store or get $50 worth of fuel.
Food in the restaurant is ok, but don't expect fast and friendly service.

I used to absolutely HATE going to Atlanta. Don't miss it at all. That T/A down there was completely screwed up.

Atlanta is the shining TURD of the South. I take my chances and just run down to Jackson or up to Cartersville. My dispatcher told me on Qualcomm and over the phone that she didn't care that I was out of hours that I needed to "Get the hell out of there." We have had drivers assaulted and trucks and equipment stolen from the immediate CRAP-lanta area. I just called safety, noted it in my logs and rolled up to Cartersville.

The TA in Atlanta is closed but the Truck Wash is still there. The PEE-lot at Exit 53 is a dump and the one at Exit 16 isn't much better. To be honest, I felt safer unloading in the Middle of a Friday night in East Los Angeles than I did in broad daylight in Atlanta.

I try to avoid the ATL when possible. The traffic is horrible, seems every idiot with a vehicle likes to drive around there. I don't care where I'm at down in that area. Windows up and doors locked and NO stopping until I'm well out of there, if ya gotta potty, wear a diaper or go in your pants. It ain't safe down there, no where!
