| I know the junk at Flyin' J isn't very good for you, that why you eat it in moderation. Like most truck drivers, I could stop at a J everyday of the week and eat all my food off the hot deli, but I don't. Its better to buy some lunch meat and make a sandwich or buy a good salad somewhere to eat. I'm not overweight, but I have to watch what I eat in order to stay that way. Also, its not necessarily the chicken wings that are so awful bad for you, its the fact that they have been deep-fried that makes them bad. Chicken is one of the best meats for you, but its all in how its cooked. I still like the J wings and wedges and stop to get em. You just can't eat them everyday. Be smart about it. |

| As long as I stay happy and healthy I will continue to enjoy eating, as for statistical figures, who really cares..

| All the Flying Js Ive been to have only had two styles of wings...at least up at their front coutner / fuel desk. They have the regular hot wings which are coated in a sauce, and then breaded. I always stop by the Flying J in one of the towns I deliver to, but they dont bring out the hotwings until 11. But those suckers are spicey. I've had them when they werent that bad, but it seems if they coat the heck out of em...just slather and drown them in the sauce....woooof! That will have you reaching for the water. The bone in wings at Pizza Hut remind me of flying J...almost seems like the same sauce...very close to each other. Its been a while since Ive been to Hooters, but I found a copy cat recipe for their wings online and it turned out pretty darned good! There is a Wingers in my town, only been there once and it was for regular sit down food...wasn't impressed at all...not sure how their wings are. Wal Mart has wings too, but I dont consider them hot...they have a bit of spice to it, a lighter kick...and I think their sauce is sugar based as well...the wings have a slight crunch to em. Their boneless wings are pretty good...I usually grab a small portion of those when the wife makes me go grocery shopping.
