Shenandoah Truckstop I70 exit 186 Ohio

Has anyone noticed the Old Shen is in the process of re-opening? I stopped there about 2 weeks ago and they have the restaurant running and the dining room is open.

The full round dining room has been divided in half. The other half has a gaming parlor in it. it looked like the Cherries games in there.

The pumps and C-Store are still closed but I noticed there were several rooms with C-Store goods stored in them so it may not be long. There was a sign on the C-Store entrance saying it was closed but planned on opening soon.

I also do not know if the motel is open either.

As I remember, the place has been closed since 2000 i think. I only stopped there a few times while it was open previously so I dont know if it used to be a good place or not.

I noticed the reopening process a couple weeks ago when I was through there. Was the restaurant any good?

No I didn't sample the restaurant. I stopped to use the restroom and get a soda (which I ultimately didnt get as the store was closed). Next time I go through, I might check it out

Heck they had that restaraunt open back in November. I overnighted there on my way home for thanksgiving. I didn't eat because I was broke and had food in the truck anyway.

I loved the old on. Stopped there in 1973 my first time, there and Midway had great meals. We ran LA-NY-Richmond-LA. Based in Albuquerque it was hell. Never could stop at home as we were loaded with a hot load all the time.

Does this Springfield Armory 1911 45 ACP under my shirt make me look fat?

In the late 80's early 90's that place was a hole. I was running out of Columbus Oh then and ran by that place at least once a week. I stopped twice. Once to eat, got sick, the restaurant was filthy, and once to use the head, also filthy. I didn't stop again. If I had to stop before I got on the Pa pike I stopped at Dallas Pike or Claysville Pa.

I have heard a lot of talk about the food being very good over the C B but did not get a chance to stop on several trips by there. The motel and garage are also open.
