I would advocate for adjustable shower heads. Some people like being blasted, others (like me) prefer a softer shower. Letting us choose would be the best option.

Most of the nation has a water crisis that seems to go unspoken. You want soft, turn it down. You want hard, well, we use the water saver heads that make it sting if you turn it up, but still only uses a couple gallons for a shower.

This would seem to be common sense, yet most truck stop showers have no option for turning it down. The only control is the temp. You get full pressure or no pressure. That's why I like the adjustable shower heads. Everyone gets what they want.

True, it's only a couple bucks more for the heads with a valve built in. Those little stainless water saver heads aren't real pretty or fancy, but they work so well we use them in the house. Personally, I prefer them.

Hello everyone! First of all would like to like everyone so far for the GREAT ideas. We are still in process of talking with investors and all that fun stuff. I just want to let everyone know that we are following this thread, and documenting ALL ideas so far. Again, we are not going to incorporate ALL ideas, but will do as many as we can. Sorry for being away for so long, just been busy. There are a few others following this post as well to help document all the great ideas. So we are watching! Keep them coming!

How about a pull thru with a grill and picnic table? Then maybe a drain for pouring out pee bottles. Think about it. No more pee bottles on the ramps.

How about a real parts section for trucks(belts, hoses, alternators, batteries)for most popular makes and complete selections of tools(sockets, wrenches) that fit the sizes of truck service needs.nothing is worse than having to wait while 10 Swift trucks get flat tires fixed before the "mechanic" can replace your fried alternator, leaky upper hose, etc. As for the parking lots,,,a mobile pressure washer once a week should help lessen the smell from the tire squirters, anled sight side parking would be a plus and if you had to make the spaces back-to-back,,put some non-bendable/moveable barriers to prevent drivers from backing their trailer 10 feet into the space behind their space. And by all means--get rid of the non-trucking merchandise that you see so often taking up so much space.(how many drivers actually buy those leather coats for 4 year olds?) As for the store,,frozen dinners for those of us that cook in our trucks. AND SELL NO DRINK IN ANY CONTAINER THAT WOULD BE USED LATER AS A PISS BOTTLE! unless it had a 50 cent deposit and had redemption value as recycleable. ever notice the "prefered piss bottle" has that wide opening,,make sure your beverages are sold with SMALL openings.

A big service center would be nice. You could go all the way and make that a sub business next door with tow units and service vehicles. There's good money in that. You could do it like t/a does, only not half-arsed. We had a full sized box truck with basically a full shop crammed in the back. If you broke down needing an alternator or something, we'd bring it out, fix it right there, and off you go.

Exercise room and parking. It still amazes me that there is no place for us drivers who do want to stay in shape to do so. Simple free weights and a few machines (bowflex or similar) would be fairly cheap and little maintenance. Also a cocktail lounge for us to let off steam with a beer or two.
