Oh years ago there was a truck stop called the Giant Truck Stop I remember it being wonderful. Last time I was there was back in the 90's It was out west going toward California. I bet it was bought by one of the franchise and ruined!!!

It's a Pilot now and like ALL Pilots it's a dump with poor service. I remember when it was the Giant too...It was pretty good.

I like Newells Truck Stop in Newton, KS. I always get treated well there and the resteraunt isn't bad.

I rarely tried to sleep at a truck stop so I always found the "bad" ones to be the best. A ton more entertainment watching the idiots and hookers compete for attention. I would grab a shower without touching anything and head on down the road to a rest stop or Wal-Mart to sleep.

Straight Road

Don't know how'd you'd go without a truckstop eg showers toilets food etc etc plus every rest stop seems to be jam packed with trucks anytime after 5pm i found driving at night the only place i could park was at a Walmart. However i know what your talking about those Lotlizards are pretty troublesum Particually at the TA LA I- 10 and Flying J Las Vagas if you get a park.

Aussiejosh the Walcott TA claims to be the largest T/S in the US. I asked one of the employees how many trucks they can fit in their lot. He told me 800 and they can fit another 200 in the nooks and crannies when I-80 is closed down. If memory serves the family that owns the T/A franchise also owns the property and can expand the T/S parking lot if they saw fit too.The nicest T/S I've been to is the one in Little America,Wy.,even tho its a little on the pricey side. I don't have much of a problem with lot lizards. Of course it helps that I have Charley Manson eyes or so I've been told.

Iowa 80 is the worlds largest truck stop; I-80 in Iowa gets much more traffic than I-90.

There is no place else I have seen even remotely like that except for the one on I-70 in MO that is in the same vein but not as large.
