| T/A Jefferson, ohio I-71 exit 65 Ok, as you may know, i HATE T/A's because they suck donkey (edited). We've estblished that. However, i must be fair and accurate and give credit when/where it is due. 1) The employees do try around here. i have to give them that. They don't nessesarily suceed (and it's not their fault), but they try. a) The less trailer trash you hire, usually the better things are. Offense intended. 2) (ties in with #1) The restroom, while not an atrocity, still did not quite make it to decent standards----there was a horrific smell, which if the bathroom had adequate ventilation and/or exhaust systems in place, would not have been a problem. However, the employees did make an attempt to keep it clean. But it still fell short. The decor (marble tile) is acceptable and welcomed but the restroom itself is also too small. a) i could not check out the womens' room this time; i usually sneek in there for a few secs if no-one is in there to make note of the condition(s). i would suspect that it too is in the same lousy condition or worse. 3) This new "all you can eat menu," is actually ok---good value for money. a) waitstaff did a good job, so i tipped $2 which is much higher than i usually tip anyone. b) NOTE: the all you can eat menu is a new thing at many T/A's. 4) Not a whole lot of parking. And what parking is available is largely Idle-air. 5) There are many fast food (KFC, long johns/tacobell etc) joints as well as an outlet mall across the street for those 34 hour or even 10 hour resets. So, in sum the employees can't be blamed for this one (unlike many other T/A locations). The employees, for the most part, really actually did their jobs However, this location still does not meet minimum decent standards (although it is very close). And T/A still sucks. |
