I am talking like Triple T's in Tuscon, AZ Good food and they Cater to truckers or Griffis on I55 in Tillatoba, MS where they still have a truckers round table and an old style Jukebox. I love to find these places and try to give them as much of my buisness as possible. One more example is Gear Jammers in Union Gap, WA that place is a ball on a friday night. Throw some of the ones you know out there and let me know what makes them "Old School"

The ONE AND ONLY"TIGER TRUCKSTOP" Grosse Tete,LA. I 10 exit 139! it looks old skool,it acts old skool ,the food and the waitresses are old skool. they make you feel # home and are glad you are there. Its not a pilot(authorized big company fuel stop) and they are proud of it. if you leave the resturant hungry,"its your own fault"iI've trucked for 28+ yrs and theres no where in the world like it.YOU MUST TRY THE ALLIGATOR SAUSAGE AND THE SEAFOOD GUMBO!

Crazy D's in Plymouth, IN used to the be the same way in that they gave each person enough food to feed a small army. They were located on US 30 just east of the junction with US 31. Sadly the entire place was torn down and replaced by a Pilot and the kitchen was replaced with a Subway.

Paradise Auto-Truck Plaza, Rochester, IN, US 31, west side of the road has been in business for years and should continue to be.

J&D's Truck Stop, Niles, MI, US 12 # US 31.

Yoder's(formerly 3G's) Truck Stop, Elkhart, IN, one block west of Indiana 19 on California Road. Very old school with room for about ten trucks(or fifteen if you squeeze them in there and make your buddy smile). Don't think the diner is still operating but they do make breakfast sandwiches and they do have showers.

Do they still have tigers anymore? They used to have actual tigers outside in big pens, and I always felt kind of sorry for them

the tigers are still outside and they are treated like family. they have been raised by hand there since they were born. i was in at the fuel desk one day and the girl behind the counter screamed and jumped a good 4 feet in the air.....it seems they had one of the tiger cubs behind the counter (it was winter)and he was laying on the shelf.the girl was busy and she forgot he was there . when she walked by the cub reached out and swatted her leg....wooo hoo! straight up she went!

Ma's has parking for about twenty trucks. Diesel fuel is sold at the Shell station on the property. What I disliked about it was fueling only one tank at a time and then stretching the hose over the frame or under the tractor to the other tank. Ma's is a Valentine pre-fab diner.

How about Arlene's Truck Stop at Battle Creek, MI? I remember when Arlene herself would supervise from the booth near the entrance. That was in the 1970s.

One of these days I will take a photo of the Teapot Dome Truck Stop near Paw Paw, MI. I suppose trucks do not stop there now because parking on the shoulder is prohibited.

The Panel Room at Hartford, MI was popular with truckers until the adjacent business erected a fence to prevent truckers from turning on their property.
