People using the restroom and not washing their hands is just one of the reasons I don't eat from the buffet. The other reason is I simply don't care to dish out food from a location that a hundred people before me has had their hands on, and may very possibly have coughed and sneezed on while standing there.

At a truckstop, if I eat there, I am going to order a plate of food, which helps me limit the amount of food I like to eat.

It's not a nasty trucker thing... it's a nasty people thing. A friend of mine was going to a series of meetings at the ivory tower and he said most of the suit's did not wash thier hands after they did one or two... we term them "nasty sum bucks".

Don't feel safe if you stay out of the buffets... every door handle at every store, station, every where is contaminated with all these nasty peoples funk. What about all the TB going around... just be around these folks at the store and you can get it... MSRA (I think that is the nae of it)... you can get that by contact too...

Keep your guard up all the time...

Complain to the manager

I saw that plenty of times while driving. A guy would go to the WC, walk out without washing, and go either to the buffet or the counter and buy something. He'd handle money that the cashier would hand over to someone behind him in line, or he'd handle utensils, plates, and whatnot at the buffet.
Yummy. Does "all you can eat" include hepatitis?

If you see this, you need to complain to a higher-up. Some truckstops have "comment cards" you can fill out and either put in boxes or leave on tables. Use them.

And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

I always wash my hands but I still use purell hand sanitizer with aloe and i also have baby wipes in my car, truck, etc...

If you don't get the stuff with aloe it makes your hands really dry due to the alcohol...But if you can use soap and water use it, it is the best way to stop germs...

And I usually don't eat buffets because i can put down the grub if given the option...I like the idea of getting your food to go and eating it in your truck, go back to your own spot, turn on the TV and eat your food in peace...I will definitely be doing that alot...except when there is good looking waitresses...LOL...
