It is true, But I think 5 to 10 mph over posted limit on interstate highways is ok with the bears here.

But someone going 50 on a 70 mph limit is a BIG hazard, especially with no 4 ways on…

I think the min speed show be 60….my opinion.
The ? I asked about: wouldn't the # of accident s go down if everyone resolved to quit speeding is simply a Y or N ?, so which is it?

I don't know if u went to truck driving school, but when I went in Oct. of 2004, they told us repeatedly not to speed, and that it is the #1 cause of accidents. I'm not totally sure, but it could be that even the majority of accident r caused by speeding.

Some people say it's safer to go with the flow of traffic. If they are speeding, well your supose to also. They say if your driving slower ten others someone may rear-end ya.
My advice, be profesional and pay attention.

This is what I believe. And if you ever been on the Thruway in NY going north by the first cash box on a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend you better have a fast truck or park your till the AM. Bumper to bumper 75-80 mph in the granny lane! hammer lane is more like 85-90 at times, insane. speed limit is 65 but very very few do less the 75 at any givin' time. I like having a fast truck sometimes...

Well, you wouldn't really have much choice unless you wanted endanger yourself and everybody else trying to go faster.

Alright, let's say there is very little traffic on the Interstate, and r u saying that u would be content going w/ the speed of traffic if it was 10mph under and also u would do the same if it was 10mph over the limit?

Same here. On a state or US highway hammer down till town, and I've had cops follow me, and not get pulled over. But they will flash me if I'm speeding through town. AND just pay attention to the road.

But that's not a fair comparison. On a highway with heavy traffic it's best to go about the speed of the traffic regardless of what's posted on a sign. To do otherwise endangers everyone else.

But when traffic volume is very low, you have a little more leeway. And to answer your question, no. I am going to do what I'm comfortable with.
