Cripes...I have to vent this frustration I have! I joined trucking as a way to make a decent living. I am new to this profession, however as a woman I am very familiar with negative talk. However, the spewing that I hear on the CB against Blacks, Hispanics, Homosexuals, Women, and other truckers is horrible! If we can't respect other people in this world how can we expect people to respect truckers?! I have been tail gated by truckers while I was going 65 in a 55 just trying to keep up with the flow of traffic in the far right lane! Forget the middle lanes...my company governs the trucks at 65. I have been told to get off the road if I won't go over 65 by my fellow truckers on the CB! I say go to the middle lane and pass me! There is someone in the Chicago area who spews such filth on the CB and at such a constant fast rate no one can get a word in. His whole day is spent spewing such raw hatred for everything that I am wondering about his sanity. So I have learned to leave my CB off because I can't find out info from other truckers concerning bears and traffic until I am far west of Chicago...and even then I hear some trucker going off about ******. Maybe some people are in their truck alone for too long but I just wonder about the person who has a CB in their home or car that is getting the impression that all truckers are biggots. So thanks for listening....and I love driving....but I do think 4 wheelers need to have safe driving training required at every license renewel!! Let's try to clean up the talk on the CB...okay? Have a great day and be safe...and considerate of each other. Deb Last edited by luvmyhubby; 11.17.2006 at 06.15 PM. Reason: removed "racial slang"

As far as the backstabbing goes, every now and then I get ticked off and tell those coward racists what I think of them. We are all here, born here, taken here,or whatever we are here for trying to just survive, seek our dreams and just be happy . I hear these folks call people crackerheads,yankees,rednecks,n.......,don't think its right to spell it,I have more respect than that for all people. i tell them,I have been out here for 40 years and have never,I mean never, heard another man call another man a redneck, yankee, crackerhead or a n........,to his face in a truck stop or on the property of the truck stop. Bounced in bars on and off for 10 years between local and layoffs from driving jobs, To each other I have heard dozens of times in a friendly way, your a good n........,redneck,yankee,etc. Only the wimps and cowards have those rude comments on the cb, thank god,its really not your true all american citizen trucker out there. Those kind of people have a problem where and how they grew up and were raised, maybe someone will educate them before they get a real education. Women are to be loved and respected by all of us,I myself have always said it was gods greatest gift to man. thanks be to god. Some women out there are swearing more than anyone ,but not many.

Re: Rude Trucker Behavior To Other Trucker's! I too have noticed this, and it got to me for a while when I first started driving. I was told to just ignore the idiots and most of the time I have. I just turn the radio up just enough to hear things that really important, like traffic problems etc. I only replied once while going through a 20 mph construction zone. Basically I let them know, I'd be going 20, because that was the posted zone. They didn't have much more to say when they saw a highway patrol sitting at the end of the construction zone. Point is you have as much of a right as anyone else to be out there. I too am female, and choose trucking for many of the same reasons. Keep your chin up.

| Re: Rude Trucker Behavior To Other Trucker's! I think these these trash mouths are the same gutless wimps that write all those pathetic nasties on toilet and other walls. Hidden behind toilet doors or hidden in a cab... same ones!

Just ignore them! They are the ones you will see later on at the side of the road with a Blue Light sitting behind them or being pulled from a wreck along some other innocent or another idiot. I struck it everyday when I was driving so I just had the CB off till I needed it and listen to the sat-radio and let everyone go on their merry way and never got ticketed for any reason and was never late except when it was beyond my control thru an accident - not mine, or traffic. Stay with where you feel comfortable, you don't have to prove anything. Last edited by Aussie; 11.20.2006 at 11.00 PM. Reason: Added comment

Some helpful tips I use for CB Rambos... Being a lady driver, I've about heard it all on the cb.....but getting in a whizzin' match with em is like wrestling with a pig....you can't win...and the pig enjoys it !!! So for a few instances, I came up with a reply... If I'm driving in construction, and someone behind me complains...I tell em..you can either follow me....or park....I don't give a rats patooty...if ya wanted to miss me..ya shoulda left earlier. If I'm doing the speed limit....which we all know we all do... ...and someone voices their opinion, I tell em...this is my truck, I'll drive it the way I wanna...you drive yours....I think the key to the whole deal is....don't let em bring you down to their level. There are insecure, low iq, poorly raised, mean spirited people in every profession. Sadly, the CB lets us hear all about em every time we turn it on. I for one don't have mine on, unless I'm coming into a city, in poor weather, or night driving. And these situations are for safety. Those potty mouth drivers have no one but themselves to look at every morning, and are lookin over their shoulder everytime they walk into a truck stop, for fear that someone they mouthed off to follows em in....not how I wanna live my life.
