Looks like the driver got "mesmerized" by the pretty blinking lights and drove into them.

I guess he was runnin' the front door and took the term "blocker" to heart

Oh god its one of those sites where it is entirly "our" fault

1. Crash Causation Fact: The majority of today's large truck drivers have little regard for the law, driver regulations, or the public's safety. (If you don't believe this just look around the next time you dare to drive near a truck, any truck, and watch how they operate.)
2. Solution: When a large truck driver is convicted of any serious violation or repeated minor violations revoke their commercial drivers licence. (this is a quote)

"So what about fourwheelers who cause the majority of the other crashes?", I ask you all

A shortage of qualified drivers has forced many companies to scrape the slime from the bottom of the labor pool. The result is too often dead and maimed people on the highways.
How many must die before the government and the trucking industry stop tap-dancing around the real problem with studies, analysis and band-aid public relation fixes and simply get these reckless, dangerous, rag bags that have little or no regard for the law or public safety off the roads?

Well since we are all the "slime of the earth" I suggest we all go home for thanksgiving vacation and just STAY home. We'll find out how long it takes for the "slime of the earth" to become VERY VALUABLE. It would only take a couple of days, less than a week for truck drivers to become in very high demand. Then we'll see who is laughing at who.

Of course, hence my prior beef with this "Hollys Baby" for bringing that site here. And he/she/they thought it was funny. Somehow, I get the feeling that this "Hollys Baby wouldn't have it any other way.

Why have a "BEEF" with me? I just posted somthing that WAS funny then some jumped on that same old bandwagon of "they are picking on us poor old truck drivers".
I never made any comment about that site but was giving creidt for what I posted. But I must say I have read the entire site and nowhere have I seen them claim they are talking of all drivers, in fact it says the site is run by a truck driver. What I have seen is that only in a VERY few places do they comment at all, mostly they seem to just post news reports from across the country.
At some point we must start to admit that alot of the nuckleheads out on the road shouldn't be allowed to drive a bike much less a truck.
Any way I guess I should do as some and keep my head in the sand and pretend its all the 4wheelers fault.
Happy Thanksgiving
-----------------
When I was a young turkey, new to the coop,
My big brother Mike took me out on the stoop,
Then he sat me down, and he spoke real slow,
And he told me there was something that I had to know.
His look and his tone I will always remember,
When he told me of the horrors of Black November:
Come about August, now listen to me,
Each day you'll get six meals instead of just three,
And soon you'll be thick, where once you were thin,
And you'll grow a big rubbery thing under your chin.
And then one morning, when you're warm in your bed,
In'll burst the farmer's wife, and hack off your head.
Then she'll pluck out all your feathers so you're bald 'npink,
And scoop out all your insides and leave ya lyin' in thesink;
And then comes the worst part," he said, not bluffing,
She'll spread your cheeks and pack your *** with stuffing.
Well, the rest of his words were too grim to repeat,
I sat on the stoop like a winged piece of meat,
And decided on the spot that to avoid being cooked,
I'd have to lay low and remain overlooked.
I began a new diet of nuts and granola,
High-roughage salads, juice, and diet cola;
And as they ate pastries, chocolates, and crepes,
I stayed in my room doing Jane Fonda tapes.
I maintained my weight of two pounds and a half,
And tried not to notice when the bigger birds laughed;
But 'twas I who was laughing, under my breath,
As they chomped and they chewed, ever closer to death.
And sure enough, when Black November rolled around,
I was the last turkey left in the entire compound.
So now I'm a pet in the farmer's wife's lap;
I haven't a worry, so I eat and I nap.
She held me today, while sewing and humming,
And smiled at me and said,
Christmas is coming...
Happy Thanksgiving

Re: This sure won't help the image

I read the initial post and I remember riding 'shotgun' in IN
with AJ in that freightshaker with the coffin on the back to
'sleep' in and I remember him saying that IN troopers hide out.

They parked in low areas near underpasses hoping to not be
'spotted' by speeders until it was too late, AJ pointed out that
if someone had to take the median to avoid colliding with
something near one of these overpasses that the trooper's car
woud get hit, when you conceal something you also make it darn
tough to avoid it being hit.

He said he would rather drive truck in OH, they don't hide there
and they still write plenty of tickets.

But why do more to further an already negative perception?

OK, maybe you & I see things the same way we just see the solution in a different way.
I'm not trying to further a negative perception I just don't see the fix as hiding from it or pretending it doesn't exist.
You have to see and know that there are WAY to many bad drivers out there and it makes any that try to do it the right way look bad.
I think the fix is for those who at least try to be good drivers to stand up and demand that the industry/Govt. get the bad drivers off the road!
Don't you think that would be a win win?
The public would finally see not all are bad.
Pay would be higher for those left.
Roads would be safer.
Maybe, just maybe, they would ease up on all the added laws/regs that are imposed on all drivers trying to fix only the bad.
Like I said, I am a driver. I like to think a good one. I just don't think we will fix the problem w/bad drivers until we get as fed up as the public and get the knuckleheads off the road.
Again I didn't mean for this to go here I just thought the photo was cool. LOL
