Thumbs up

Saw a news story here in DFW last week. Grand Prairie TX cops have new radar. Only dept in state so far. Has 2 beams to catch tailgaters. They were pulling over the butt biters and giving tickets. I think it films the incident as well. I loved it, but the people who got caught were all really pissed. Caught about 5 truckers and 15 4 wheelers.

A 4wheeler on my butt doesn't bother me that much, like what's he going to do, make me go faster? Don't think so. What does irritate the dog crap out of me is a big truck doing that to me or someone else, including 4wheelers.
just the other day, I'm southbound on I75 in the wonderful Detroit area. I'm in the center lane keeping up with traffic, there was a 4wheeler in the granny that was maybe 20 yards ahead of me I was overtaking. Out of nowhere comes a shiny new, blue Messilla Valley truck. What an ###!!! He not only came screaming up on my blind side, but I swear that 4wheeler had to have disappeared under his hood. I couldn't believe this idiot. He looked at me, like he expected me to move to the hammerlane, no way, no big trucks in that lane here. So he finally got the idea that neither I nor the 4 wheeler were going to move for HIM. What does he do after close to 1/2 mile like this? He slows to get behind me. By this time the 4wheeler is just about in my blindspot. Sorry "stupid/super trucker", I've got nowhere to go now. So, Mr. Stupidtrucker see's the hammer open. Yup, right over he goes in the restricted lane, comes by me wagging his fat greasy hand at me, then ofcourse, tries to take off my fender mirror, and slows down, making me back off big time to get my cushion back.
At the place I worked for 29years, and retired, we had a Safety Instructor giving training for forktrucks. He was also one of those guys that had a 5th wheel RV,with every trinket and bolt on in existence. He'd rather talk about how he taught those damn semidrivers lessons when he was on the road. He made the statement to his captive audience, that when a bigtruck was tailgating him, he'd lock it up. Some of them really thought that was a good and right thing to do.
What I do, when someone, big truck or 4 wheeler, cuts me off, and makes me the offender, I check my mirrors, and back off as quick as I can to get my cushion back.
There's some real idiots out there, let's all be careful.

That's what you've got to do. A relaxed driver is the best driver. There's no sense in driving like the idiot you described, you'll get there the same time and you'll last longer. There is no way I want to be responsible for someone's death or injury.
