68 in a 45

there is a student in the class thats ahead of us that already has his license, my best guess is he went to short term CDL mill for his license. Well he had a couple accidents and is in school to try and get some credabilty back from his previous experiences, however he may have just blown any chance of a job. Cruising in a 4 lane 65 zone you have about a 1/2 block maybe less to slow before you hit the 45 zone. Well this guy seems pretty cocky so I would believe the instructor told him he needed to slow. But low and behold he did not and was wrote for 68 in a 45, and the officer popped him for "to fast for conditions". Now the later charge may be a stretch because its was a normal warm sunny day, however our instructor said that going that fast in a 45 zone, could be to fast for conditions, because of going into a town at that speed. So if this student/driver can not beat this ticket he probably most likely out of luck on a job.

Yes sir not a good way to start out! I have a friend of a friend who was busted for smokin' dope in a random drug test . NOW he can find NO ONE will touch him .....except outlaw , renegade , run by the seat of your pants outfits! Does anyone know how much time will have to go by before this driver can get a GOOD JOB??

With a failed drug test, your friend might never drive. To some companies that is a PERMANENT no-no.

saying as he had warning from instructor i'm surprised they didn't just toss him out.
i don't see how they can reduce speeds that much in that short of a distance .IMO that qualifies as a speed trap. i got a ticket a couple of years back coming into montgomery AL. on the north end of town. the speed limit drops suddenly from 70 to 50. they should have to lower the speed in 10 mph increments spread out over a mile or so.

Well they teach you in class that you should be looking ahead, and there are most always signs showing the zone, he may have not have shown the apperance of slowing, I do not have the whole story.

In MN thats ground for possible arrest for wreckless driving, and a loss of your license. Even in your personal car.
