I cant stand people that are mean to animals I have 8 cats and 3 dogs 2 cats from a shelter 2 strays and the other 4 were offspring of the pregnant stray that we took in from the freezing cold in a snow storm. one of the dogs was a foster but she was so scared of people that once we got her trust we decided to keep her. While im reading this thread im looking at them and cant even imagine leaving any of them anywhere.

I have to agree with everyone here. I wasn't on the road but here a few month's back there was a cat in the gas station parking lot and I happened to see her hobbling infront of a car and sat down. The lady saw the cat after pumping gas and was just fixing to take off. I jumped out and ran my fist into the hood of her car and grabbed the cat and took her home. She's the sweetest little thing. The sad part is that she had be hit by a car already and both right leg's were broke. I named her Sweetpea and her and ol' Garfeild (yes the one and only) get alone just fine now. I never could afford to have her looked at but she's better now even though her back leg is still messed up. Thank god for tired thumper's because if I ever catch someone doing it so help me I'm going to step out of my truck with the thumper behind my back and ask what they think they are doing. Then you can guess the next part. Afterward's strip them down and chain & lock them to a dumpster or a truck and leave them there without ever having a second doubt. Let them spend the night in a snow storm without any clothes. Then call the police to come get'em and lock them up. Now, this also apply's for those who don't care to stop or slow down when a baby is in the road. They don't know any better. Me, I will. I'd rather risk wrecking my truck and killing myself than hitting an animal because it's something that's hard to live with. I've never hit one and haven't come close but if it ever comes that way and I'm sure it will at some point. I'll do what I can. I'd rather die under a good deed than live knowing I did something horrible.

I need to find a home for my cat. You just try to find a shelter that will take a cat. around here I'v been waiting about 8 months now trying to get her to a no kill shelter.

Where do you live? Most of the Humane societies have no kill policy. I know a few people between Little Rock and eastern NC that would take the cat. Three of them have big farms where it would be safe and taken care of.

I have as well seen to many animal being left at truck stops. I always try to bring some food out for the dogs roaming the parking lot just to make sure they at least get their belly full for the day. SAD times we live in when people do such things. But then again we are dealing with a society that can't even let a truck (talking about other truck drivers here) out when he turns his signal on.

Like I said earlier, I can't stand some one who abandons animals. Though at times I thought about leaving my dog on the side of the highway, I never will. Love the 80 pounds of stupid to much to do that to him.
Now my mother inlaw is another story. Anyone want her!!!!

I have a farm but I won't put her outside since she is declawed. I'm in WI.
YEs they are no kill now and that is why they have a year long waiting list to take animals.
