Beyond that I treat you as I would treat anyone else, and if you anger me I will treat you exactly the same as anyone else. Never have I uttered the phrase, "But she is a woman." In this society that has been created there have been rules, customs, and courtesy's passed down. Each decade since the formation of the country women's rights have been expanded, which is good, no one should be oppressed. But now women's rights have expanded so far that they have infringed upon my rights. For example let us say I have a child with a woman, we split up and now we are in a custody battle. Let us say we are supposed to be equals, but if neither has a criminal record, both of our incomes are the same, guess who gets custody? I am sure I do not have to answer that. Which that reminds me of a joke, if I stick a dollar in a coke machine and a coke comes out whose coke is it? Mine or the coke machine?

But seriously in my home state of North Carolina there is a bizarre law called, "Assualt on a female". I felt this was so bizarre I actually looked up the statute, then I searched for a "Assualt on a male" charge. There isn't one, now this statute defines that any male charged with this is denied bail for 72 hours, and he can be charged if there is a suspicion of an assualt. I could have sworn we already had an assualt charge, so now we have to fragment it for one side but not the other?

Now comes my next complaint, women truckers, my most recent encounter with them was interesting. I pulled into the fuel island, and began fueling. I ended up pumping 170 gallons, which does take a little bit of time. Well when I had pulled in there was a day cab in front pulled forward. I waited another 10 minutes before someone finally came out to the truck. I was livid and yelling, I began with saying, "Hey anytime you ####### feel like it cupcake." She actually had the nerve to walk towards me. I feel like people should respect others, especially when they are angry, and they shouldnt think that because they are a woman you're protected from my wrath. I went right into DI mode, "You must have lost your god damn rabbit ############# mind walking back towards me. You need to get your fat #### ### back in that truck and get the #### out of the way before I really get angry." She actually has the nerve to say, "I'm a lady and I think you should treat me better." I wanted to shove my cheater bar down her throat, but I quickly resorted to logic, "Lady? Woman, look at me. Does it look like I need to beg for ##### from a nearly 60 year old woman? I'm not as desperate as some of these guys that would claim Janet Reno is a fine looking lady. Now get the #### out of here before you get your hands dirty."

Anyone else had this problem? I have more examples of women truckers. Please don't take my examples as, "No women in trucking." That is far from the truth, I just want everyone to be treated equally. And I would like to stop the #### sucking on the CB. It gets old.

PS I know 65 + 45 = 110, its just a joke for my dad as he is a helicopter pilot.
I can't agree with what you did here. Its true everyone should be treated equal. With some respects. I don't use my sexuality to gain what I want. Some do,It irritates me too. Should she have parked in the fuel isle? No.
The fact is you made the difference by calling her a "cupcake" and making an accusation like she wanted to "service" you. I highly doubt had it been a man you would have reacted like you did.
The fact is a woman is by no means physically capable of that of a man.
She could not have physically dealt with you.
I have never but myself in a mans place(hit a man) nor would I. I act like a "Lady". And would like to treated as one.
I have a grown son who would never treat a female in such a manner. Because My husband and I taught him not to.

Sorry I gotta pipe in here. You made the comment there were no lines in the ladies bathrooms at T/s's. Just how many have you been in? I have seen plenty of lines in the ladies restroom at many different truckstops. I am not saying I agree with the fact she was on the fuel island so long. I have reverse and I know how to use it. I think you probably egged it on by talking down to her and calling her cupcake. Don't ya think?

I didn't know that the cupcake insult worked on females. I figured they would like that.

I have to agree partially in the sense of having to work my butt off doing some womans jobs that cried discrimination. She literally sat on her arse while I did all the work! I pull my own weight and don't expect any preferential treatment from anyone I work with. Except the right to use a womens bathroom without men coming in lol.

AGREED!
We joke around alot at work...I guess you have to in a sense to stay awake all night and joke with the truckers...makes them happy and the time go faster.
I pull my own weight and then some at work and getter done..lol
The only preferential treatment I get are chocolate bars.

And we do have our own out house which is private and clean...

Speaking of which I need to get to work...have a good night and play nice!

Very well put, there are plenty of truck drivers out there that are in the wrong occupation. Some are female, some are males that treat the rest of the world as if we owe them something, whatever that is we will never know however, the professional driver will always pull thier weight and stand out as such. In my job I see female drivers for big name LTL carriers that bust thier tail every day and commend those for the job they do. There is a job description for everyone, trucking is not for a lot of those we see out there. Many of the people must be attracted to truck driving by the promise of money, or the shorthanded carriers willing to try anyone to fill a seat. AGAIN, THERE ARE JUST AS MANY MALES OUT THERE THAT SHOULD NOT BE OUT THERE AS THERE ARE FEMALES. Driving around it is easy to see that going on every day.

I have never ever seen a lineup for the ladies room at a t/s, and I am a woman.

Goodness, how many truckstops do you go in? I am lucky as a city P&D driver that I dont have to use them often, but boy there is frequently a lineup in the ladies room... all it takes is one SUV of girls to fill all the stalls... nothing to do with truckers...

Well I've seen some of all of the mention actions in this post. I personally have issue with women that have gone through driving school, qualified for a job with the company that their husbands work for. That's the last time they drive, they can't back up, tarp, load or unload yet they want to be called a "Driver" by me. I can't do that. A driver doesn't have any sexual identity attached to it other than what is in the publics mind and those that have a preconceived notion of what a driver really is.

Now back to the fuel island incident. Perhaps the fuel desk had a problem getting her fuel paid for, maybe there was a line at the fuel desk and the bathroom, I don't know I wasn't there. The bottom line is instead of just remaining calm and muttering to yourself keeping the rest of the near by public in a state of ignorance about what you're IQ level was you opened your mouth and let the whole world know. Not only did you make yourself look like the idiot that you are because of that juvenile behavior you showed any one that's not a trucker that we really do have people like you in the industry that just re-enforces what they already think about truckers.
Another thing I'm SO glad it wasn't me that you spoke to like that because you would have been at the ER getting that cheater bar removed from a place that the sun never sees.
