smelly truck stops

at allmost all of the truck stops i have been ot they all smelled like a unrinal,,,, smelly trashy truckstops are lousy when you get a wiff of pee at 6 am.

people who pee in a bottle and dump it in the parking lot are inconsiderate, unsanitary and rude.

The rest areas are getting about as bad.

At a rest area in NV today, I was doing my log and did a walk around on the way to the restroom. The pavement reeked. The rest room reeked.

When I got back to the truck, I noticed the driver getting back into his truck next to me. I looked over at his truck and noticed he had watered his tires.

Talking

Well, as much as I dislike the pee fessional drivers who cannot walk 30 yards to the restroom and 5 feet to a garbage can, Most of the really strong stench comes from the cattle wagons, just because you do not see them, they leave their special scent for days!

There was evidence supporting the cattle wagons. But I hardly doubt the animals were in the building and throwing trash out.

My comment on the driver was just to note the event. You cannot change people and their ways.

Just wait till you find a reeeaally good one in the middle of a heat wave... you step out of the truck and its so strong that it burns your eyes. I forget where that was... I'll never forget the smell or me walking across the parking lot looking like someone just kicked my puppy...

The worst is when, on a really hot day, you get that 2 minutes of rain, just enough to turn the parking lot into some horrible 'urine-sauna'. The Jessup,MD T/a comes readily to mind, last time I was there after crossing the parking lot, I think I threw those shoes away...

so true. that is an example how nasty alot of drivers are out here. personlly i get dressed and go into the truckstop to use the restroom and usually grab a bite to eat while there.
