It's funny, but I have actually had another woman tell me that she got into trucking because she wanted the attention and thought it might help her have a good chance of finding a man.

I try to keep a low profile on the road, I don't like attention, and will even wear a hat while driving so I am not noticed so much, I would like to tint the windows on my truck. Some men just assume that all women like to talk, I am not a woman that likes to talk just for the sake of talking.

It was her idea, she should have ofered to pay for yours, I don't understand some women. I guess some of them just expect it. I don't usually stop for coffee with strangers, but I always pay for my coffee. When I stop with my friends, we always take turns buying coffee.

Cool Can you please..

tell the other woman that I'm right here waiting. I have no problem with a woman trucker and will give her plenty of attention. If you need more info just give a holler. Thanks

Sure, I will, she is a nice enough woman, and she loves attention, she's a little wacky though, but nice, she's always talking about finding a man.

Cool Sounds good enough and...

if she's any whackier than me somethin's seriously wrong wit that. Because I'm a bonafide whacked out lunatic who deserves another wacko but only of the female type and who likes to laugh at nothin'. I gotta be extra careful here because I may have a couple , few other gals chasin' me down for whatever reason !!! As long as she's in the age bracket, so am I !!

This has been an interesting thread! I'm a gal, and back when I was driving, inevitably some yutz would start the stupid crap as soon as I said anything on the CB. Most of the time some other guy would tell the idiot to shut up. I grew up a tomboy, and actually get along better with guys than I usually do with other females. I can't stand discussing make up, clothes and hair! I always take good care of myself, but like some of the other ladies, I just don't bother with make up very often - it's such a pain to have to take the crap off. Most of the time on the road, the guys treated me with decency and respect, but that was almost 10 years ago, maybe it's different out there now. There were always exceptions to that, but then again, there are always exceptions to just about everything.

Enjoyed this thread a lot. But please keep in mind that a lot of these rules aren't just for drivers. I've seen several folks in Walley World that could use a little of the friendly advice I've seen here.

1. Muscle shirts are for guys who have muscles.
2. Please take advantage of your company's dental plan. The missing teeth thing is very gross.
3. If your belly sticks out farther than your manhood it is a problem.
4. Lose the comb over. You are not fooling anyone. Just cut it short it looks a lot better.
5. Take a shower and brush your teeth on a regular basis.
6. Do not hit on us over the C.B. Has this ever worked?
7. Make sure you do not have a tan line where your wedding ring is supposed to be. Might as well leave it on creepo.
8. Lose the stupid pick up lines.[left]
9. Remember that we are someone's daughter or sister and treat us like that.
10. If you are lucky enough to hook up with a girl at your company than keep your mouth shut. Don't go around bragging about it or it will never happen again.

This is so true, well said...I don't know how many times I've walked through a truck stop and people would hoot and hollar at me and man does my hubby go balistic (with good reason).
