Important Truckers Forum Notice!

The Truckers' Image Under The Driver's Hat. Discuss ways for truckers to improve their image. Urine bottles, trashy truck stops and no truck parking signs abound. How do we change our image and earn respect back?

I do have cargo lights mounted on my headache rack and lights on either side of the trailer to light up the "whole town".

The lights won't bother me. I've got curtains.

But please shut off the back up alarm if you can.

If you feel the need to have one on your truck please feel free to be polite enough to put a kill switch on it so that it is not being used in a truck stop where others are sleeping.
Some Ins.companys require them and safety dept but it would be nice to have a cut off switch.
Did know a driver griped about his and was told its for Ins.Well one day he stopped near the office put it in low reverse back across the yard which was about two city blocks half way he was met by >Machanic with wire cutters<
When the first year for DOT Insp.I think you had to have some kind of backup lites on Tractor.
