I had a conversation with a DOT officer on this subject once. I had waken in the middle of the nite, used a bottle, put it on the floor. Well, the next AM I forgot it. I usually pull to the edge of truck stop lot, dump bottle, walk it to a trash can and go on to work. The officer saw the bottle next to my trash can and enquired about what flavor Gator-aide it was. I explained what it was, usual disposal method, and offered to join sniper unit if they ever started one for trucker bomb throwers. He found this quite amusing. He was told I was not kidding at all. This type of TRASH needs to be eliminated from our country. I wouldn't shoot the non flushers, but public flogging would be a good idea.
Redneck (poster just above me) go ahead and take the kids. Just use the occasion to teach scorn for trashy people. A little predgudice goes a long way, and I don't mean against race. I mean against trash of all races. Teach your kids to be willing to call trash trash.

Nick352, you should've let the motor office beat the coon dog crap out've that guy and sworn the driver started it.
When possible (conditions etc) I take name and truck#, call littering hot lines. Many states have them now. Many have special cell connections for state police. Turn these trash in. Call the company too if you can find a number.

You've got to be kidding. You don't have a pee bottle but you'll go ahead and pee on the ground next to your rig... A pee bottle is a necessary evil but should be emptied in an appropriate place---not the parking lot...and definitely not capped and thrown out the window. If you dump urine in a parking lot or throw a bottle out the window you are an idiot. or worse.

Never thought I`d need one,but the older i get... sure is convenient at 3am.Pour contents in grass in out of way area.dispose of properly.
It takes a nasty SOB to throw ANYTHING out of a window.I just bet that the offenders homes and property is`t littered.
As dry as its been on the east coast lets be careful with cigarette butts, too.Should use your ashtray for them.

Please explain to me why a pee bottle is a necessary evil.

Well this is one for you. Before I retired from Riverside Police in California, I was assigned to patrol. I had a beat partner, meaning he was in another unit. Well we were stopped at a parking lot near Central and Magnolia in town, when the radio went crazy with one of our motor officers almost screaming.

He was requesting a 28-29 (Wants and Registration Check) on a tractor trailer east bound 91 west of Central. We heard that he had his emergency equipemt activated, and we decided we had better head his direction.

We had no more got into the traffic flow on Central moving toward 91, when an 11-11 was placed. (Expidite Back-Up). We started to respond emergency and apon arrival we found the motor officer trying to drag this truck driver from the cab of his trcuk.

Well it seems the driver did not throw the bottle out, he just poured it out the window. The motor officer was in the number 1 lane just to the end of his trailer when the shower began.

We thought the officer was going to kill this guy. We had to subdue not only the driver, but the officer as well.

Moral: Watch for the motor officers. They may have serious reactions to contact with urine.

Be Safe and Have Fun !!!

That's a great story and I have no doubt that it's true. I'll bet that driver will be more careful in the future. I'll also bet he remembers that day every time he wakes up in the morning and puts his teeth in.

I have started using one a few years back, before I was told by my doctor that I was a diabetic, I was going so much it was not posible to keep my delivery schudle if I stoped so many time so I started using one. Now it is so much easier to use one in the middle of the night. I detest thoose who just step out on the running boad of thier truck and piss in the parking lot. I dispose of my waste fluids in the restroom or dump them in the grass, I try not to put a full bottle in the trash as I see someone will have the posibility of coming in contact with it. May-be I have over thought this but as an ex aircraft maintance person it was one of the jobs we did daily. Empty the toilets. It's not a big deal to me but I guess some whould cringe at the thought.
Be safe out there.

I can't lie and say I have never used a bottle. When it comes to this topic there are two kinds of truckers, Those who do pee in a bottle and those who say they don't. The thing is though I have never tossed one out on the side of the road or in the back yard of a truck stop. I simply can't see why a trucker at the end of his or her day can't take the bottle empty it in the grass and dispose of the bottle in a trash can properly . I agree with the post up above. When your running OTR I have found it to be a necessary evil. Besides that, running OTR I have found my self in places where there is no other option. Guys if you are going to pee in a bottle. Make sure you top it up and empty the bottle disposing of it properly . Hope this contributed something positive to this discussion... God bless !

It looks like to me people don't understand the term "professional driver".
If you can't be responsible enough to get ride of your waste in a professional way then how do you think you are a professional driver. Just another example of a few bad eggs putting a bad reputation on the whole dozen.
WOULD YOU WANT SOMEONE THROWING PISS BOTTLES ON YOUR FRONT LAWN !!
